The company was launched by Founder and President Lucas Keller, a 22-year veteran of the music industry who in 11 years has built one of the biggest global management companies for songwriters, producers, artists and athletes. Milk & Honey is a traditional management company for the music division, and an agency and marketing company on the sports side.
The company quickly became known as kings of the songwriter and producer management world, with a strong foundation of hit songs representing the people who make them. With over a billion albums sold in aggregate, run a finger down the Billboard Hot 100 in any given week and you’ll quickly find a song penned or produced by a Milk & Honey songwriter, from David Hodges to Oak Felder, Stuart Price to J. Counting 1800 shows on tour in 2025, the company also represents artists in the electronic music space with artists like Oliver Heldens Benny Benassi, Joel Corry, Sullivan King and nearly 20 others managed out of both the US and London offices. Sidecar to the agency, Milk & House Sports houses a brand incubator to create ventures for its athletes. The agency also has a strong brand marketing side.
Quickly approaching 50 employees, Milk & Honey is full service with in house A&R administration, brand marketing, day to day management, DSP promotion, Digital, content and creative direction, international strategy, financial literacy training, music catalog sales, synch licensing, sports agents and legal services, tour marketing, venture development, writer producer creative A&R, and more. Since the pandemic, the company has sold over $300 million in publishing catalogs and are considered to be thought leaders in the sale of music rights. Just in the songwriter producer space, the company has a 15-person creative team, the largest in the world. Over the past 6 years, as the cost of capital was at an all-time low, and there was an arbitrage on music rights with the dawn of streaming technology, it was a perfect storm for great deals when selling music rights. Our client’s desire to sell their publishing or masters became a regular conversation. Through our role as managers, we’ve become experts at selling music rights and are involved in all details related to these transactions.
The company has access to 170+ global buyers across mainstay major music companies, private equity, hedge funds, family offices, pension funds and foreign wealth. Today, the company has successfully closed over $300 million in deals. From the valuation process to packaging and shopping these rights, we’re involved every step of the way and are a good one stop solution. We sell both active and passive rights from pure play publishing, writer’s share of performance royalties, producer royalties, artist master royalties, masters, and neighboring rights. Milk & Honey have a deep understanding of these complex transactions and are considered to be thought-leaders in the space.
